TVXQ attracts 390,000 fans during Asia Tour!

SM Entertainment says five-member group TVXQ attracted some 390,000 audience members during their 16-month tour around Asia.
---
TVXQ's Asian tour began in February, 2007, after it swept the 2006 year-end awards ceremony in 2006. Over the 16-month period, the group performed in six Asian cities including Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok,
Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Beijing,
attracting a total of 390,000 audience members along the way.
---
TVXQ was the subject of much talk throughout the concert period. One website crashed after 300,000 fans rushed onto the site to reserve tickets, TVXQ set the record for being the number one foreign artist to attract the largest number of audience members two years in a row, and 125 stores at a Thai department store were forced to close down temporarily after 15,000 fans and reporters flocked to the venue of the press conference.
---
In October last year, one of the scheduled concerts in Taiwan was canceled due to a typhoon, and the group members returned to Taiwan earlier this year in May to
keep their promise to their fans.
---
TVXQ plans to release a brand new album in Korea in the Fall.

[06-16-08] Ch.9 Pen Pleum Interview Translation

Q1: What do you like about Thailand?

Junsu: I like coconuts. ma-praw, phom rak khun [Coconut, I love you.]
Micky: phom rak ma-praw
Junsu: phom rak ma-praw [I love coconuts.]
Junsu: phom rak ma-praw mak mak [I love coconuts very much.]

I like the way Junsu experiments with his limited knowledge of the Thai language ^^ And Micky's a pro here, he knew Xiah didn't say the phrase correctly and promptly fixed it.

Micky likes the rainy weather in Thailand. He thinks it's romantic. JaeJoong likes elephants. This is the cute part where JaeJoong, Micky and Junsu mimicked the guest MC's elephant ear movement ^^ Max likes Muay Thai, traditional Thai martial arts, and Yunho likes the golden architectural style.

Q2: Have you ever thought of releasing a Thai album?

Yunho says they do, but they need to learn Thai language first. Junsu then goes on to describe how they like the Thai language because of its tonal nature, how it sounds melodic.

Q3: What's the concept of the 2008 photobook?

Yunho describes the two main concepts: one of them blending into the majestic natural scenery, the other of them on a camping trip. The photobook will be on sale in Korea and Thailand at the same time, and the version on sale in Thailand will have extra pictures

Q4: Did you encounter any problem during the photoshoot?

Junsu says the main problem was the heat! They were sweating so much they had to keep wiping themselves dry. Plus cacti needles latched on to their pants! He adds that the scenery was very beautiful so they didn't feel tired, that it was fun.

Q5: So do you have plans to do a photobook in Thailand?

JaeJoong says they do and pretends to conspire as to when's a good time. They'd love to do a photoshoot in Thailand because there's such a variety of locations - the beautiful, natural scenery and the buzzling, vibrant metropolitan. If they have the chance, they'd love to come.

Q6: Do you have a location in mind? The sea?

All says Phuket!!! Phuket bada! And Junsu has another go in Thai: Phuket. ma-praw. chai-yo! [Phuket. Coconuts. Hooray!]

Q7: This is your 7th visit to Thailand. Each time you come here, you'd say something cute in Thai. Last time was "ab-baew". So how about this time?

Micky: Not much this time but we did learn some phrases we could use to be closer to our Thai fans.
Junsu: Chai-yo! Muang Thai [Hooray! Thailand!]
Micky: jub mue kan noi [Let's hold hands.]
Micky: jub mue kan mai? [Shall we hold hands?]
Micky: kod kan noi [Let's hug each other.]Micky: phao phom [Burn me.]
Yunho: I want to say what I feel in Thai. pra-tab-jai nai kwam-rak khong khun [I'm impressed by your love.]
JaeJoong: This is what Changmin often says. sa-was-dee krub phom shue ut-cha-ree-ya [Hello, my name is Genius.]
Micky: phao ut-cha-ree-ya [Burn the genius.]

Q8: Last question, the pink wristband that you are all wearing. Do you know its significance?

Junsu pipes up "LONG LIVE THE KING!"

Yunho explains how Dong Bang Shin Gi members become "Thai" upon their arrival in Thailand, how they'd like to share the reverence Thais have for HM the King.

JaeJoong adds they've never seen HM the King in person but they've seen him on television and witnessed their Thai friends/staff's love for HM the King. Dong Bang Shin Gi would like to be friends with Thais, so they wore the pink wristbands express their feelings and be "Thai".

Q9: Finally, what would you like to say to your Thai fans?

Micky: It's been a long time since we've been here. We feel kind of guilty for having received so much love from our Thai fans. So we'll try to come more often in return for our fans' love.
Micky: We are now working on our 4th Korean album, showing more facets of Dong Bang Shin Gi. We're putting a lot of effort into this album. Please look forward to it and continue to support us.

TVXQ sets new Korean record!

Asia's top popularity five-member boyband TVXQ staged a concert at 7:30 on the 12th at Beijing's Fengtai Stadium; presenting a spectacular performance for over 20,000 fans from Korea, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and other Asian countries,
drawing a perfect end to their 2nd Asia Tour.
---
Having swept all the top awards at music award ceremonies in 2006, TVXQ started their 2nd Asia Tour on the 23rd of Feb 2007 in Seoul, staging 13 performances in the 6 cities: Taipei, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Beijing which drew a crowd of 184,000. On top of that, their Japan Live Tour in 2007 and 2008 drew crowds of 55,000 and 150,000 respectively, adding to a grand total of 390,000 people,
setting a new record for the highest number of concert tickets sold (a
direct trans would be highest number of concert audience) for Korean artists.
---
For the past 1 year and 4 months, TVXQ has set many new records. When tickets for their first stop for the Asia Tour in Seoul were open for sale, 300,000 people logged onto the site causing it to crash; they have also set the record in Thailand for 2 consecutive years as the foreign artists which drew the largest crowds for their concerts.
---
In October of last year, TVXQ was forced to cancel one of their 2 concerts in Taiwan due to the typhoon but they promised their fans to return and staged a concert in Taiwan once again in May. In the Seoul concert, although leader Yunho's waist injury disappointed many fans, all the members put in their best for the concert and got a resounding response from the fans.
---
The final stop for TVXQ's 2nd Asia Tour (which began in December last year) was in Beijing. The concert began at 7:30pm. During the 2 hour 40 minute concert, TVXQ felt the passionate support from 20,000 fans from and all over Asia.
---
Having completed their 2nd Asia Tour, TVXQ will be meeting their Korean fans in the 2008 Super Triple Concert in the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium on the 15th at
7pm in a bid to raise funds for kids with Leukemia.

TVXQ History

Avex and SME are really determined to make history for Tohoshinki. If they hit #1 again, they will be the first foreign artist to hit 3 #1's in Japan's Oricon Weekly! "Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimattandarou" has already been great single prepared to reach that goal!

New Single "Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimattandarou" Releasing Date changes a week earlier..

Tohoshinki's New Single "Doushite Kimi Wo Suki Ni Natte Shimattandarou" Releasing Date changes a week earlier to..
-------------------------------------------------
07-16-2008
-------------------------------------------------
A smart step by AVEX since the former release date July 23rd had Tohoshinki against some very popular artists, which would hurt their chances of getting a 3rd Weekly Oricion #1. The popular artists were no one other than some JE's (Johnny Ent.--a big Japan artists management) artists who also ever made
Toho's Summer Dream single failed to reach Oricon #1.
------------------------------------------------
So yeah, trying to stay aback from the massive hard competition, AVEX moved the releasing date a week earlier, and it's not really a hard thing to do since the boys' new single has already in TOP 5 of pre-ordered CD in Japan.

TVXQ Micky says NO to fans..

TVXQ member Micky Yoochun celebrated his 22nd birthday with fans on the 7th of June at the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium.

.....
Although Micky's birthday was on the 4th, he celebrated it on the 7th due to a concert in Japan. The fans presented Micky with lots of expensive gifts, however he turned them all down.
.....
An SM Entertainment Representative stated, "The majority of fans are very young, and they purchased gifts that were way too expensive, that's probably the reason why Micky turned them down." The SM Entertainment Representative continued, "Instead of purchasing such expensive gifts though, the greatest gift fans can give the TVXQ members, would be listening to and supporting TVXQ's new album, which is planned for release in August."
.....
At least DBSK cares about their fans and their treasures (gifts) unlike F.T. Island. But I also can see why F.T. Island trashed their hotel room. I mean their fans gave them pretty crappy gifts - WOW, thanks for the crayons & magic markers... what awesome treasures. While Cassiopeia members go the extra mile and buy gifts that are actually worth keeping.
.....
In other news, DBSK is currently in Beijing, China for the last stop of their
Asia 2nd "O" Concert Tour.

TVXQ at Yamaha Thailand Pingbook Article

Today (8th June 2008) at Central World, Bangkok, at around 16:00, Cassiopeians attended the YAMAHA and TVXQ! WORLD : The Raising Challenge event, sponsored by YAMAHA, SM Entertainment and 4Nologue.
-----------------------------------------------------
The event started at 19:30 when Dong Bang Shin Gi members - U-know Yunho, Youngwoong Jae Joong, Xiah Junsu, Micky Yuchun and Choikang Changmin - walked onto the stage; Cassiopeians were cheering at the top of their lungs. Once seated the MC let them greet their Thai fans: "Hana, deul, set, sawasdee krub Dong Bang Shin Gi krub"
------------------------------------------------------
What do you think of "YAMAHA and TVXQ! WORLD : The Raising Challenge"?
Yunho: It's so nice to have such an big event organized for us, and we can really feel our fans' love. We're truly grateful for our fans' support since it's the very thing that got us (Dong Bang Shin Gi) here today.
------------------------------------------------------
How did you feel signing your autographs for Thai fans just now?
Junsu: It felt great! It has been a long time since we met our Thai fans at close range - we had eye contact and Thai girls are very beautiful.
------------------------------------------------------
How special are the items you put up for today's auction?
Yuchun: The items are accessories we wore when shooting pictures for photobooks. We like them and knowing that the proceeds will go to charity makes us feel good.
-------------------------------------------------------
When you travel abroad, what do you do?
JaeJoong: Most of the time we talk, play and listen to music.
Yuchun: Normally, if we have free time, we'd focus on exercising and staying in shape.
-------------------------------------------------------
If you had free time, where would you like to go most?
Yunho: Thailand for sure. So far, we've been coming here to work, so we'd like to go to Phuket and really have a holiday, all 5 of us.
Yuchun: Ah... and ride YAMAHA motorcycles touring all of Thailand!
------------------------------------------------------
We heard Jae Joong likes spicy foods, has he tried "prik-kee-noo" (Bird's Eye Chilli)?
JaeJoong: Yes, when we were shooting the commercial, there was a part where we were eating Thai food "som tam". That was when I got a taste of hot Thai food.
------------------------------------------------------
Last time Micky learned and used the term "phao" (burn).
This time have you learnt any new Thai word?
Yuchun: "kod kan noi" "jub mue kan noi" (SCREAM!!!)
Note:
"kod kan noi" = let's hug
"jub mue kan noi" = let's hold hands
No wonder Micky won so many hearts this time ^^
------------------------------------------------------
After 'O'-Jung.Ban.Hab (in 2006), when are you going to release your next Korean album?
Changmin: We're now recording our new (Korean) album. We're putting a lot of effort in this 4th album and fans can look forward to it in autumn
(September-October).
------------------------------------------------------
Let's play a game: There is one slice of cake on the table, you choose to eat
1) strawberries 2) plastic decorations 3) sugar/icing decorations 4) chocolate 5) wafer?
Junsu: Chocolate
Yuchun: Strawberies
Jae Joong: Strawberries
Changmin: Wafer
Yunho: Chocolate
----------------------------------------------------
After Dong Bang Shin Gi members made their choices, Cassiopeians sang Yuchun a be-lated (4th June) birthday song in Korean. Then YAMAHA executives brought out the birthday cake for Yuchun to blow the candles. This totally moved Yuchun who almost couldn't hold back his tears. And then, of course, Jae Joong pasted a bit of cream on Yuchun's cheeks - that brought out plenty of cheering
from the fans!
---------------------------------------------------
Back to our game. Yuchun and JaeJoong chose strawberries - very ethical, and will make no mistakes (or will do no wrong).
Whatever the situation Junsu and Yunho chose chocolate - reasonable, strong sense of leadership, loves to control various aspects of things.
Changmin chose wafer - romantic, and dreams of a happy marriage.
--------------------------------------------------
After the game was presenting the auction proceeds, totalling 1,269,000 baht, to GREEN PEACE and Home for Children with Disabilities (Baan Nontapum).
--------------------------------------------------
Finally, Dong Bang Shin Gi members took photographs with YAMAHA executives and representatives of the two charity organizations. Before leaving the stage, Yunho said "Today we're really, really happy, because so many fans came to welcome us and we'd love to have more events like this in the future...
Your love has truly impressed me. I love you. (in Thai)

2008 Dream Concert.. SUCCESS!

On June 7th, 2008 the Korean Entertainment Producers Association and TV station SBS presented the the 14th annual I Love Korea Dream Concert at the Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium.
------------------------------------------------
Most of Korea's top artists attended the concert such as DBSK / TVXQ, Girls' Generation, Wonder Girls, Epik High, Super Junior, MC Mong, and Jewelry.
-------------------------------------------------
Lesser known acts such as Shinee, and the unknown SS501 (who will hightail it to Japan soon) also attended. AST'1, Typhoon, Miya, Buga King, Mighty Mouth, Peter and Chu Sung Hoon were there as well.
--------------------------------------------------
Where was Big Bang? They were nowhere to be found as they were in Thailand, hanging out with the lady boys and performing at their own concert.
--------------------------------------------------
The I Love Korea Dream Concert 2008 was held to boost Korea's patriotism as well as bring awareness to illegal downloading of music and content off the internet. Hang on a sec while I quickly load up my iTunes store, because I love paying for shitty music.

TVXQ's 2nd Asia ~O~ Concert in Beijing

After the success of their first major Asian concert in China (“O” Concert), TVXQ is again scheduled to perform a second time in the Mainland. Soon they will be heading to Beijing for their slated June 12 schedule, which is reportedly the last leg of their 2nd Asian Tour ~O~ Concert (the Hong Kong leg seemed canceled ~ but needs verification).
-----------------------------------
On the Internet, online ticket traders label the concert as “TVXQ Beijing Concert 2008,” while some call it “Beijing Oriental Concert.” Supposedly it was said that Shanghai was their grand finale for the Asian Tour, but after some recent schedule adjustments, it was revealed that they are indeed performing in Beijing after all.
-----------------------------------
The concert will start at 8pm (others say it’s 7:30pm) which will be held at the newly completed Fengtai Sports Center Softball Field. It has a seating capacity of 13,000, and a floor-space of 15,570 square meters. The same stadium / field will also be used for Olympic Softball competitions in the future.
----------------------------------
The concert is said to be a two-and-a-half hour show, where TVXQ will perform 25 of their hit songs. They will also do solo performances, just like in their “Seoul Encore Concert” last October 2007, in Korea.
----------------------------------
Organizers of the event guarantee that everything will come as planned. For assurance, they will be preparing one (1) week before the concert. Reportedly they have and will spend a lot of money for this grand concert, which will give TVXQ fans a fantasy-like ambiance during the event.
----------------------------------
According to DreamMaker (a South Korean production company) they will be using the same materials and equipments used at the “Encore Concert” in Seoul, with everything including lightning, audio, multimedia, costumes, and stage design. Seemingly, they’ll be transporting everything from South Korea directly to Beijing. Roughly, the concert will cost around 10 Million Yuan, equivalent to around 1.5 Million US Dollars.
----------------------------------
And to the delight of the fans, according to a person in charge of the event, fans will be able to see TVXQ up close, because the seats will just be around 10 meters away from the stage. Though we have heard of fans complaining about the seating plan, that it was actually farther away from the stage than mentioned.
